Abstract

The increase in people with dementia is a serious problem. Communication with other people, especially with their relatives, may delay the progression of dementia. However, relatives may not have enough time for regular communication sessions. Thus we have started a project for developing a robot system that can support communication between people with dementia and their relatives. We present the design concept of the robot system and the current experimental system.
